This year I have stumbled upon some sweet discoveries in skincare and makeup that have saved my skin and freshened up my look….but only 1 in the list is Korean…
(1) Estee Lauder Advanced Night Repair - This was attached to the Korean Cosmo mag as part of their anniversary gift. I was amazed at how bright and smooth my skin felt the next morning after using this! Amazing stuff! If you want to pick this up, it’s much cheaper to get it online than at the department stores.
www.strawberrynet.com or www.sasa.com
(2) CathyCat Brightening Dual Concealer - I stumbled across this when looking for something to cover my blemishes at Tosa Cosa (the Sephora of Korea). It was their #1 selling concealer so I had to see what all the fuss was about. There are 2 parts- a liquid concealer for undereyes and stick to cover spots. A few dabs of this under the eye and my dark eyes were gone. Also, it lasted all day and did not cake up or migrate. Excellent!
(3) Dejavu Fiberwig - A japanese product that I have been using for years, but rediscovered it again
this year. This builds up your lashes like no other and doesn’t smudge. The fibers coat the lashes and
washing it off is a breeze.
(4) Weleda Skinfood - A find from MUA (makeupalley.com).
Everyone was raving about this stuff and the raves are true. Amazing for dry skin. I use on my cheeks and even eyes in the super dry winter
weather. Also, it’s great for pimples and seems to calm it down. I bought it 2 months ago and I have already used half of it.
(5) Aube Moisture Lip Gloss - I was just in Japan and was looking for a gloss to
give my lips that "just bitten" look. I have been searching for such a color here to no avail, but I found this on sale and I wished I
stocked up on more! The gloss is not sticky or tacky and it gives a beautiful sheen to the lips…. again, amazing stuff!
(7) Laura Mercier- Oil Free Tinted Moisturizer - I cannot live without this. It gives my skin a nice glow and also evens out the skintone. I switched to the oil free when I
discovered that the original was breaking me out.
(8) YSL Touche Eclat - A classic. This takes away the shadows on my face and manages to make me look more alive.
(9) Aspirin Mask - A discovery from MUA and essential day spa. I don’t use this as a mask but rather mix a bit of aspirin with cleanser and it seems to keep my pores clean and pimples at bay.

(10) Supplements: Omega 3,6,9 & Source Naturals: Skin Eternal - This year, a major outbreak of acne led me to find alternative ways of treatment. And I figured out that there was something amiss in my diet, so I searched on the web and found that omega is good for the skin and also Source Naturals Skin Eternal is good for hydrating the skin and keeping it in optimal condition. I am not sure if it has worked but my skin by the end of 2006, is almost pimple-free.
