New Year New You II: Makeup

It’s a new year and also time to freshen up your look. Whenever I get the chance to go back to vancouver, I head to MAC counter downtown to get some inspiration on new looks. MAC (#1) never fails me. This time, in the January 2007 edition of Bazaar (Korea), the makeup by Mac is fresh and pretty. Although, I am not sure if blue eyeliner can be used everyday, but it looks fresh nonetheless. In particular, the lipcolor, a mix of pinkydee and giddy, is fabulous! In contrast, the looks by the Korean cosmetics brand Hera (#2)and Lunasol by Kanebo (#3) have a bronzed theme with defined eyes and bronze shadow underneath for Lunasol and gaudy orange-y blush for Hera. What were they thinking? I doubt if anyone would want to have orange-y cheeks.

Hera

Face: Shimmering Makeup base + Precious Cream foundation
Lips: Rose Skin Veil in Pink Veil + Rose Shining in Royal Purple
Eyes: Triple-baking type in Pearly cream, Pearly beige and brown
Cheeks: Marble blusher in Marble rose
