Well, I don’t think Rain is done and finished. I mean he’s on a hiatus in a way right? Come on, he’s only like 25, Rain’s still got a long way ahead of him. I think that he’s different from other stars. He may not be the typical good-looking guy, but I think that’s what makes him special. At least he’s not like others who would like reshape their whole face just to be “good-looking”. Rain doesn’t need that because he proved that you don’t have to be “fake” to succeed in the industry. Rain is truly real star, he did not achieve his current status just by plain luck. He worked hard and he reaped the fruits of his toil. So, I think people should stop criticizing him based on shallow observations like how his eyes look or how he doesn’t have his abs anymore. Instead, people should focus on how much recognition he has gained for his country or just how much he worked to break the stereotypical world of Korean music industry.

i was obsessed with rain, then i stopped caring about him, then i disliked him, and now i find him sad. his arrogance that has been soaring and soaring lately really bothers me. he’s just not the humble, hard-working, dedicated singer he started out to be that made him appeal to so many ppl.
but of course, he wants to be a “world star”. must i remind him that in order to become a “world star”, you must be able to
1) sing catchy, original songs
2) dance original moves
3) market yourself well
and btw, he did NOT break the “stereotypical world of Korean music industry”. singers continue to get plastic surgery overload. and considering that rain’s songs and dances have been done and overdone by american artists, he just helps to re-establish the fact that korean music industry copies american industry (if he really does REPRESENT korean music industry, like some of u r saying)
