I think you guys mean “Might Mouth” not “mighty mouse”. There’s alot of confusion with their name, I WOULD know…

  7. 7 Sabrina April 4, 2008 at 10:09 pm

Rest in peace :( I had enjoyed their performance in music bank the other time they were there. The song was addictive. it makes me sad to know that i won’t ever hear it live again.

  8. 8 who? April 4, 2008 at 10:17 pm

  16. 16 invisibelle April 4, 2008 at 11:47 pm

    aww, sad :(

I always find it so weird that there are papparazzi at funerals, though.

  17. 17 C.I. April 5, 2008 at 12:02 am

Is it common courtesy for every celebrity to visit a funeral in Korea?

  18. 18 KyuMin April 5, 2008 at 12:39 am

I hope that the family will find peace my condolences go out to them and everyone else who knew him well TURTLE!!!!

He doesn’t even need to laugh and his face is always laughing ^^ He will be remember always..
It’s heart wrenching the crying and all T_T

  20. 20 Illdielaughing April 5, 2008 at 12:50 am

It’s kind of weird how even a funeral has become some kind of twisted red carpet event…

  21. 21 hannah April 5, 2008 at 12:57 am

I find it annoying that people make an appearance just to be photographed for a good image. (ex: SNSD, Wondergirls)
I bet they didn’t even know him.

  22. 22 Jill April 5, 2008 at 1:07 am

R.I.P Turtleman..i’m so sorry for his mom..

  23. 23 Jane. April 5, 2008 at 1:11 am

    His mother…its very heart wrenching.
Hope he rests in peace. Its so very shocking that someone can be fine one day and just leave the next..

  24. 24 mo April 5, 2008 at 1:13 am

    RIP

Why is there a swatzika on his tombstone? Do they know that is the sign for Nazi???

  25. 25 sakura April 5, 2008 at 1:37 am

May he find eternal peace, and may his mother find comfort during this difficult time

  26. 26 lalala April 5, 2008 at 1:49 am

YOU’LL BE GREATLY MISSED BY ALL.

  27. 27 heyleadinglady April 5, 2008 at 1:54 am

    hannah:
Get your facts right. The girls did know him, they’ve talked to him before, and are acquainted.

RIP.. This is just very sad

  28. 28 Kristen April 5, 2008 at 1:57 am

Mo: About the swastika, I learned in from my World Religions prof. that it used to be a symbol for either peace or happiness; I can’t remember exactly what it means, it’s just something good. When the Nazi’s took it on as their symbol, I think they turned it a certain way. I do believe some religions still use (the non-Nazi-turned one) as a good symbol.

  29. 29 song April 5, 2008 at 2:09 am

how sad, hope the mom gets passed this. R.I.P.

  30. 30 Dude April 5, 2008 at 2:11 am

Swastika originated in India and the original meaning is “well-being”

  31. 31 geekgirl April 5, 2008 at 2:19 am

Yes, the ’swastika’ is still used in some Buddhist sects, as well. Kinda threw me off the first time I saw it at the temple in Asakusa, Japan, but then again, it’s sad that this symbol’s true meaning got twisted for eternity because some evil man made it so.

Anyway, my heart goes out to Turtleman’s omoni. She’s completely devastated. May she find comfort in knowing that her son was loved by so many people and that his music put smiles on our faces.

Rest in Peace, Turtleman. You will be missed.

  32. 32 SP April 5, 2008 at 2:58 am

Losing someone is always sad! It’s great though that others were there to support and pay their last respect!

  33. 33 Lily April 5, 2008 at 3:56 am

That is not a swastica. It is the symbol of the wheel of life used most commonly by Buddhists (as well as other religions out of S. Asia) and in some variations of Christianity it is a symbol of the cross–it is an ancient and has no relation to the NAZIs. The swastica used by the NAZIs were reversed and tilted.

Condolences to the family for their loss.

  34. 34 girl April 5, 2008 at 4:00 am

why is joo there? and snsd? I figured wondergirls would be there though….

Turtleman is my all time favorite musician and I just can’t believe he passed….the picture of his mom in so much pain just made me cry….is so sad to not be able to hear him sing live anymore….true originality has just passed….lets just hope Drunken Tiger is still around

    REST IN PEACE T*MAN

  35. 35 Beckbeck April 5, 2008 at 4:14 am

Aw is that his mom crying??? THAT’S SO SAD! I just wanna give her a hug! :’(

  47. 47 Sad... April 5, 2008 at 6:39 am

You have to take the appearances of a lot of these celebrities with just the surface value. On one side it was respectful of them to pay their dues to a fellow colleague, but a lot of them don’t personally know Turtleman. Many have probably said “Hello,” while passing during rehearsal for shows, but that’s about it for many of the people who showed up.

It’s a sad reality when some, not all, stars come out just to get exposure and making some kind of good image of themselves to the media and audience who is watching.

My friend who works in the entertainment business in Korea says many of these stars are trained to look sad or cry on the spot once the camera light shows up. Again, I’m NOT saying EVERY celebrity puts on an act, but my friend says that it happens and not just on occasion.

  48. 48 v.rita51 April 5, 2008 at 7:12 am

I like how none of the celebrities really look like they are grieving… a lot of them look bored.

  49. 49 Aikyrie April 5, 2008 at 7:32 am

    He died so young.

  50. 50 Reila April 5, 2008 at 7:49 am

How come the Nazi symbol was on the plates ??

  51. 51 Reila April 5, 2008 at 7:51 am

  52. 52 what's w/ that chick RIa April 5, 2008 at 8:09 am

is she there for a fashion show? wtf.. why is she dressed like that…

  53. 53 KyuMin April 5, 2008 at 8:11 am

He was always seen with a smiling face all his pictures are smiling photos he has a very handsome face I wish that he didn’t die so young and that someone was able to get to him in time. Now that it’s all said and done I pray for his family and for his body to RIP

  54. 54 jasmine April 5, 2008 at 8:16 am

Yeah it’s really sad..and ofcourse i was thinking about the same thing..i’m sure not all of them knew him..and some are there just to make an image -_- whatever…and i would love if they could kick the paparazzis out…it’s like a freaking red carpet..what the hell !!
    R.I.P

  55. 55 well April 5, 2008 at 8:22 am

it sucks if celebrity just show up to have their face on camera. we won’t be able to know what’s truly in their hearts. do they really miss turtleman, his contribution to entertainment? or are they thinking about looking good when that flash to the right of the mourners? funerals are formalities anyway. those of us not in showbiz also had to show up at funerals of people we barely knew or didn’t like too much, but were part of the same social circle. as long as they’re showing some form of respect, i don’t care what their real motive is.

  56. 56 soju April 5, 2008 at 8:28 am

is she there for a fashion show? wtf.. why is she dressed like that…

    —–

yeah, i was wondering the same thing. very disrespectful to show up in a mini skirt, full-on boots and a vuiton bag that doesn’t match anything else you’re wearing ….

it’s a very sad time for the lim family. my condolences and sincere sympathies …

  57. 57 DWILLIAMS April 5, 2008 at 8:55 am

    To Well
Some probably do grieve but understand everyone shows their emotions in a different way. If they didn’t know him that well then no they probably wouldn’t cry but they probably were still in pain nonetheless.

  58. 58 Leigh April 5, 2008 at 9:11 am

Do they ALL know him??? WoW.

={ At least he is now in the hands of God. Condolences to his family.

man… koreans can’t go to a slumber party without make-up let alone surgery. wtf is up with the hair and wardrobe on some of these mofos…more sad than the funeral itself.

  62. 62 yuri April 5, 2008 at 10:06 am

what’s with all this negative talk when someone has passed away…jeesh people

  63. 63 marmar April 5, 2008 at 10:06 am

    I gotta agree with Sad…
Some of these celebs probably show up because it’s a photo op. I mean I’m not trying to sound harsh but that’s the reality of it all. To those celebs that are just showing up to make face there cold-hearted ppl. That’s wrong.

    To Turtleman R.I.P

  66. 66 that 1st pic April 5, 2008 at 11:03 am

the first photo with his mom is so heartbreaking. it’s more powerful than anything tragedy on K-drama, Secret Sunshine, etc… :(
she must have loved turtle man deeply. does she have other children?

  67. 67 azn_tvgirl April 5, 2008 at 11:16 am

I dont know him but may he rest in peace.
And all my condolences to his family…

  68. 68 suga April 5, 2008 at 11:17 am

the only one who is truly saddened by this is the poor old mom, the stars are here for publicity obviously, i mean what does teeny boppers like WG and SNSD have in connection with turtleman anyways…

looks more like a black/white fashion show, without makeups and head bowing so they can actually fake some remorse…There’s no such thing as bad publicity. Right?

  69. 69 ct77 April 5, 2008 at 11:52 am

Its so sad news, i just knew him frm tv prog pop in seoul their song sing la la la is so catchy.. Condolence to the family.

    My condolences to the family..

  71. 71 vanessa April 5, 2008 at 11:58 am

i think it’s great that all these stars came to pay respects. i don’t really see it as a photo op, but i guess you could if you view it in a lopsided way…

  72. 72 okeydoke April 5, 2008 at 12:02 pm

i agree with sad… too and with illdielaughing
i mean. without a doubt im sure some of them knew him very greived.. but man. all of them knew him that well ? and they’re greiving with makeup on and everything ? especially ss501, those boys have makeup on at someone’s funeral. oh yeah, you’re really paying your respects.

jesus its like a fashion show for some of these people who just show up to make an appearance.

  73. 73 cherry_o April 5, 2008 at 12:04 pm

Thank you everyone for answering my question, and not getting angry because I didn’t know! I know the difference now: the evil one is tilted and/or in a different direction.
The good one is a sign of peace in Asian cultures. Still, you couldn’t wear that on a t-shirt or in jewelry…Americans just wouldn’t understand…

Again, rest in peace Turtleman :(

how many did we see there
    aish…

  85. 85 KyungMin April 5, 2008 at 11:30 pm

I was watching some news of his funeral, and what bothered me to no end was the amount of papparzi who attended, and how noisy and rude they were. I can’t understand why they couldn’t keep the cameras at home.

    RIP.

  86. 86 Kay April 6, 2008 at 3:45 am

    RIP once again.

To everyone who is skeptical that this is a photo-op:
Now how would you know if they did or didn’t know them?
    Take your crap somewhere else.
And what does being “teenyboppers” have to do with not knowing someone?

  87. 87 wolfblade April 6, 2008 at 6:58 am

ohh man, his poor mom, my deepest condolences

    RIP, Tutleman

  88. 88 ella April 6, 2008 at 7:30 am

heart. TT_TT think how sad his
mom must be, losing her son and husband
    to this.. :(

but i’m surprised to see so many people that
are new to the k-pop scene there. like Joo
    and mighty mouth… :\

  90. 90 Korean Ajusshi April 6, 2008 at 9:48 pm

“Check out the bare-faced visitors in black.”

Popseoul!, you girls crossed even beyond your own incredibly shallow standard by caring about the bare faces of the celebrities who came to pay their last respects to one of the truly best in the K-pop business. I guess his funeral was a rare chance for people like you to see how really plain the stars look withou their cosmetics, right? Grow up a bit or, at least, try. It almost makes me ashamed that you girls are Korean whenever you trivialize a solemn event like this. In fact, why don’t YOU girls shows us pics of yourselves with and without cosmetics to judge by your own super-shallow standards of looks?

  91. 91 smilingsky April 7, 2008 at 8:53 am

    Rest in peace…

I wish that Celebrity funerals were to be held without any Paparazzis. I think that it’s an invasion of privacy in general.
I think that a funeral is where people can come to pay their sincerest respect and condolences and where a loved one can actually cry their eyes out and grieve and mourn without any disturbance.
And there are those celebs who make it seem as if the funeral is a place such as a Red Carpet Walk or a Fashion Show..and that’s a disgrace..

R.I.P to Turtleman. he was loved and respected by many…and left the world so young..just like Jung Da Bin + Unee…..
