Deported pop act, Yoo Seung-joon (aka Steve Yoo) has been cast in a big budget 80 billion won action movie with Jackie Chan. Directed by Jackie Chan and Sheng Ding (“The Underdog Knight”), filming will begin this month on the 10th somewhere in China.
Unfortunately for Steve, many netizens feel that he should have done his service to his country by entering the military. Instead, he chose to chicken out and run to the U.S. So no matter how manly he looks with those bulging biceps, in the eyes of Korea, he ain’t a man.
Yoo Seung-joon dodged the mandatory military service 7 years ago.
Steve is under a 7 year contract wiht JC Group International, which is Jackie Chan’s personal entertainment company.

He looks like a man to me WOW!!!
Whoa now thats what u call body. Lol.
He looks like a man to me.
Who the hell cares? They’re talking about making an exception for stars anyway. Seems like blatant hypocrisy to me.
And how could you be mad at a body…err…I mean guy like that?
he comes to my church
yes, he does………
I totally agree……….this is a MAN…….
Worst mistake ever! I mean consider what he looks like, he could/should have just do his mandatory military service like a man and get it over with. It’s only 2 years, most celebs do like office work anyway.
@j4red; it’s a big deal because military service is one of the four constitutional duties of South Koreans… we never look kindly upon people who try to get out of military service. it’s disgraceeefulll (so said my parents. lol.)
i dunno why they can’t just get over it. the only reason everyone’s fussin about him is because he was a celebrity. tons of people do it all the time.
He dodged the military service legally. He chose to become a US citizen instead. What the hell is wrong with that? US is where he spent his teen years. The only thing he’s done wrong is that saying publicly that he would attend the military service but he’s allowed to change his mind right? It doesn’t warrant a ban to enter the country forever like a criminal.
The only reason Korean guys are sensitive of the military service is that they are jealous to see someone not having to complete military service when they have to rot in the Amry for good 2.2 years. Hence the Korean Americans are usually very forgiving of Steve Yoo (Yoo Seung Jun).
[...] Boy needs to build some bulk. [...]
how much is 80B won in USD?
pretty good for u
I agree with yougotmelold. I understand that many Koreans may have felt miffed with Yoo choosing his U.S. citizenship over his Korean citizenship, and many of them may have thought he got off on a technicality, but the guy doesn’t deserve being ostracized like he has.
Besides, it would be nice to see a strong, tanned, muscular man in K-pop. Girls go gaga over Rain, but he’s more lean and cut then buff. This guy is genuinely built.
amazing muscles! 0_0
Good Luck with the movie!
too much msucles for me but very much a man
