Ur blog is AWESOME!! i am blown away by the no. of insider scoops~~ ^^ Did both of u enrol in a language/culture course at a university in Korea? How long is the period of study? That’s the sort of thing I plan to do after I finish my degree >
sez – If you want to study in Korea, it takes at least one year to get a grasp of the language (assuming that you don’t know any Korean) and probably another two or three years for your graduate degree.
But the length of your stay in Korea also depends on what you want to get out of it. There are a lot of people who go to Korea to teach English for a year or two to get while getting their share of Korean experience

i think my name says it all, thanx popseoul, its almost impossible for me to find anything about korean culture seeing as how im nigerian, plus when i ask some of my korean or asian friends they kind of just look at me weird, like who is this black girl trying to get in our culture, so its good to find a site like this that keeps me tuned in
ps. this isnt some crazy person thats like obsessed with the asian culture or asian people, my group of friends is multi-cultural( black, white, hispanic, asian, etc.) and im in tune with my nigerian roots(i even know the language), and other cultures, i just have an intrest in east asian countires: japan , korea, etc.

I heard somewhere that Rain cancelled his only Canadian tour dates because he was receiving death threats. I know I shouldn’t believe the ‘he said/she said’ but I figured if anyone would know, it’d be this website. So have you heard anything?

I haven’t heard anything regarding Rain receiving death threats – I think that’s a rumor and the more probably reason for Rain cancelling was the low ticket sales. FYI, he cancelled many other concerts in the US because of lackluster sales.
