On the set of his 2007 series, BYJ had a shoulder injury-painful enough that his scenes with horses did get adjusted so he would not be filmed mounting or dismounting. He was taking painkillers to be able to complete his episodes in the series. Then he later had a surgery.

This is the first time I’ve heard of the neck injury. He did have a blood issue two years ago.

Regarding BYJ’s style–he mostly wore black in Dream High. It makes his face seem ghostly. That is why I was thrilled that the camel jacket showed up at the board meeting scene in DH-finally, he had some colour! When he was photographed during his journey around Korea for his coffeetable book, he was wearing mostly drab greys and blacks and blues with his long hair. The shorter hair now is fine-he needs to tell his wardrobe staff to give him some brighter options (I mean after Winter Sonata, BYJ did so many clothing campaigns in business and cheery sporty casual attire. I would venture he is depressed now if his wardrobe is an indicator).

You know, with all of the time that actors and singers spend indoors under artificial lights, they are deprived of sunshine and time to absorb vitamin D. I seriously don’t get the Asian interest in pale faces in the entertainment world-it gives the impression of too much time indoors and wealth but not of health.

    • Darth says:

That’s because asians spend too much time indoors doing accounting or playing on computers. The paler your skin, the more you play on your computer and neglect your baby, which is seen as very attractive in korea.

    • Eunice says:

You have to remember that you’re thinking in Western terms where tans are appreciated and thought to be healthy. That’s not the case traditionally in Korea at all. Tans were thought of as something that only people of the lower working class would have, and not of the affluent class that would stay indoors doing wealthy things.

  14. Eunice says:

I get the feeling BYJ isn’t that strong. He seems to be in and out of the hospital a lot. He seems frail.

  15. sentel says:

yes BYJ and michael jackson will face the same fate………..

    both millionaire……

money would only do nothing specially when you are ill………

    money can’t buy your soul a FREEDOM…

We get used to judge very quickly the others. I wonder, those who do that, what have they done in their life ?
