Song Baek-Kyoung defended Shin Jung-hwan on his twitter.
From the moment Shin Jung-hwan stepped foot into South Korea, people automatically started to criticize him. However instead of criticizing his gambling crimes, they started to talk about his airport fashion. People left disapproving comments online about Shin Jung-hwan wearing a Moncler jacket, which is a well-known and expensive brand, when he is a clearly a criminal.
To this, Song Baek-Kyoung defended Shin Jung-hwan by saying that he agrees that gambling isn’t a crime that inflicts harm on others but rather a mental disorder that destroys oneself. He continued by saying that people who criticize Shin Jung-hwan‘s fashion just seem like they are pointing fingers at him because they can’t bear to see someone wear something that they can’t afford to wear. Song Baek-Kyoung also made a valid point asking, “If someone wearing a Moncler jacket apologizes, it means that they haven’t fully reflected on their wrongdoings, but if someone wearing ragged old clothing apologizes, they are truly sorry for their sins???” He criticized the reporters for not dealing with the importance of the situation.
