Girls’ Generation Unleashes The Japanese Version of “Run Devil Run”

Nearly one year after its original release, Girls’ Generation is back with their black soshi concept in “Run Devil Run”, only this time they are going J-pop.

With their 1st Japanese digital single, Girls’ Generation will be invading popular Japanese music show “Music Station”  to perform the track live on January 28th. There is no word yet if a PV (promotional video) will accompany the single, but hopefully with positive sales Universal Japan will make that happen.

Check out the Japanese version of “Run Devil Run” below

Does the Japanese version live up to its Korean counterpart?

  4. Gs23 says:

Wow… Way to rehash the same stuff. Oh well it’ll probably do okay. I prefer ke$ha’s version. she sounds better… And that’s saying a lot because ke$ha sucks.

  5. nikki says:

they sure do spend ALOT of time on just ONE song don’t they?? Not only do they perform the same freakin song on EVERY music show there is in all of Asia…they then go out and resell the same thing in another language lol.

  6. Puppylova says:

Is this another sm promo system? I agree with nikki. So boring to hear the same song all over again. What’s be done last year should be left behind. Just start making a new single for japan for god’s sake. Trash.

  7. Watermelon says:

Bored of k-poop.. bored of SNSD

  8. K-pop Potato says:

So this is what a one trick pony sounds like. Get one or two songs, and just keep playing them over and over and over and over in different languages until people are so weak minded that they just buy the song just to get rid of it off.

  9. erica says:

I don’t like ke$ha very much, but she sounds way better than this.

  10. yeah, I am says:

It’s the same as the original.. just in japanese.

Are you incapable of saying anything negative about your korean gods?

  12. yipee says:

So what if they’re recycling their songs? It’s genius and it’s only boring if you’re not a fan! There are so many kpop songs that I wish were sung in english!

    • Johno says:

It’s not their genius, it’s the entertainment company’s genius at manipulating you folks. Also it’s not their song, it was written by two Europeans.

There is no creative element added by any of these stage-skeletons.

  13. Meg says:

They should have used original material instead of a refurbished song.

  14. ~seohyun~ says:
