Jo Sung-mo accuses his agency of physical and verbal assault!

After S Plus Entertainment claimed they would sue him for 3 billion won, the singer now shares his side of the story.

According to his agency, vocalist Jo Sung-mo committed a breach of contract. They lost direct contact with him after his injury on KBS’s “Dream Team” and Sung-mo even released albums without their consent.

What did the famous singer have to say about their lawsuit and claims?

A spokesperson for him stated:

In January 2010, when Jo Sung Mo signed with S-Plus, the CEO’s attitude immediately changed. His manager (and the CEO)  frequently assaulted and verbally abused him.  In April, they forced him to sing for a drama OST and didn’t pay him for his work.”

S Plus replied that the truth will be revealed in court. However,I want justice to prevail. There are too many stories about entertainment companies being accused of abusing their stars.I hope they resolved this issue soon. The singer’s new wife and his diehard fans are waiting for a positive and peaceful outcome.

Whose side are you on?

Well, the if we ignore the verbal abuse for one minute, the physical assault is a criminal action and should have been reported to the police, and they can take criminal action on behalf of the victim. The third action is breach of contract, and should be resolved as a civil action, he could probably cease work until it’s resolved.

I’m on Jo Sung Mo’s side. I loved that guy ever since he debuted as a teen.
Amazing singer and amazing personality. If this is true, how could the agency do this to him?
He’s frickin married and about to become a dad and now the agency is letting him down!
    That’s not right…

I tend to believe his agency. Why would they ‘physically assault’ their money making machine, put him out of action and lose money? They put him into a corner, that’s why he’s using the assault claim.

No one puts baby in a corner.

There is a catch 22, but I wouldn’t put it pass the entertainment industry to do such a thing. Last year, there were to many cases of suicide regarding k-pop stars and it’s truly sad, uprising stars being abuse and taken advantage of by the people who should protect them and be there for them. But it’s rare to find truthful industries out there. Everything is all about money.
