Girls’ Generation Won’t Be Taking “Mr. Taxi” To KoreaPosted: March 13, 2011
After releasing Korean to Japanese versions of their songs, Girls’ Generation won’t be sharing the same idea with their new single.
Ready for their 1st original Japanese single, Girls’ Generation will be taking Japan by storm in the months to come.
Unfortunately Korean fans won’t be able to take part in the group’s activities, as Girls’ Generation will not be releasing a Korean version of “Mr. Taxi“.
Their label SM Entertainment revealed “Currently, there is no plan to record the Korean version of ‘Mr.Taxi’ or any promotional activities related to it in Korea”.
Now before you start thinking SNSD is ready to start acting like Dong Bang Shin Ki and release Japanese-exclusive singles, Girls’ Generation has their reasons.
The reason mostly likely being, that they will also hold their 1st Japanese Tour soon afterwards the single release which will keep them busy. But, all in all, it seems like some Japanese fan service.
What do you think of Girls Generation‘s decision to release a Japanese-only single?
