Nichkhun comments on relief efforts for Japan

We Got Married” star and 2pm boy band member, Nichkhun, took the time….

to tweet his words regarding Japan and the aid they are receiving. Below are two of his recent tweets:

“‘Pray for Japan!’Hope you will find that sunshine after the rain soon! Keep your hopes up, and so will the whole world.….I’m so touched by how many people of different [ethnicities] are together to help out Japan, a friend in need. Hope you will get better soon”

What do you think about his comments? What would you say about K-celebrities helping their neighboring country through this difficult time?

Just hope a lot more Koreans would think of Japan as a friend. Not a country to be hated ‘coz they are good people.

    • cup says:

That’s unlikely to happen.. but we could all hope. Koreans are taught too much rubbish in school to stop their feeling of hate to other non-korean countries except USA.

    • kelly says:

Korea is taught to hate Japan but not their money. But Nickhun isn’t even Korean so not relevant.

    • blah says:

Listen, Koreans are not taught to HATE Japan. The relationship between Korean and Japanese are not so black and white like you guys are all portraying. Yes, we are taught our history about Japan’s invasion of Korea, and there areKoreans who do not like, yes even hate, the Japanese government, but for the most part we do like the Japanese people and their culture. Especially the younger generation, my generation, we know that our counterparts in Japan today had nothing to do with a war that happened 50+ years ago. However, actions of the Japanese government are a different story, and there are some things that they do which we don’t agree with. I’m sure it’s the same way for how Japanese view Koreans.

So stop with generalizing how all Koreans feel, based on one-sided experiences you may have had with Koreans who proclaimed to hate all Japanese.

      • 7 says:

Finally found someone who doesn’t hate Japan. I though it was just Nichkhun whom I’ve just realized ain’t Korean.

        • Saucer says:

Yeh, he’s an american. But the K-slaves seem to think he’s a thai person.

        • blah says:

@7 – Many Koreans feel the way I do. If we all hated the Japanese so much, we wouldn’t be making the effort to help the Japanese recover from the earthquake/tsunami. Like I said before, Korea/Japanese relationship isn’t so black and white like those on the outside see it.

  2. cup says:

The more I read this, the more I think it’s hilarious that rather than actively doing something for japanese people, he just writes some thinly veiled self promoting propaganda on twatter.

    What an arse.

  3. HUUH says:

It is good…It is by little thing that you can build!!! Morever a lot of person & artists are donating for Japan but just they don’t yell it as others!!

  4. sup says:

i think the kpop stars that financially gained from japan market should donate back. They show you love when you asked for it, it is only right you return the favor.

  5. Dovey says:

I think of it as a good thing. When something like this occurs, it’s not something anyone can predict let alone control. I also pray for their safety. But mind you, I actually have donated. Perhaps he will as well.

  6. Kasey says:

Just an FYI, Nick-Khun is Thai, I am sure he meant well, and he probably did donate. I am just gratefully to hear that Kim Hyun Joong donated 71,000. that is one of the reasons why I love SS501, they are true to their word and truly whole hearted individuals, he heard, he saw, and he helped by donating and pray for the fans and their family.

    • Cup says:

He’s not Thai.. He’s american. In addition, you’re making assumptions about whether he donated or not.

Can you not build your life upon untruths like ‘he’s thai’ and assumptions which you cannot back up in any way.

  7. Cathy says:

    Korean celebrities take prompt action.
It’s good. No matter what kind of help that we can provide.
    We should do it promptly.

    Khun, you’re our pride.

  8. yoora tae2min says:

    Thank u too much Nickhun…
