New boy group B2ST coming to MTV

Nothing builds better hype and fanbase than an idol group documentary.
POPSEOUL! has neglected to mention the upcoming debut for new boy group, B2ST (Boys 2 Search for Top), for some time until something more tangible came out, and indeed, it finally has~
Cube Entertainment‘s boy group, B2ST, is set to debut this September, but in the meantime, you gotta get the girls ready to scream for these boys. Best way to do that? Let them watch these boys give their blood, sweat, and tears while preparing and training for their debut. Therefore, an MTV documentary is scheduled to begin airing on August 23rd, showcasing B2ST’s journey.

Following the photo below, B2ST is composed of Yoon Doo-joon (One Day reject/candidate from Mnet‘s “Hot Blood” documentary), Yong Jun-hyung (aka Poppin’ Dragon and former member of Xing), Lee Ki-kwang (better known as “Dancing Shoes“ AJ), Son Dong-woon (maknae-in-training), Yang Yo-seob (trainee and AJ’s back-up dancer), and finally, Jang Hyun-seung (aka So-1 from Big Bang documentary days).
I really feel like this is a kick in the pants for AJ because he did make a fairly notable debut, but now he has to take a few steps back and become part of a package deal. Cube seems to be scrapping the barrel for this group as three of the members just couldn’t quite make it in their previous projects. Although with their past exposure, B2ST has a lot of anticipation surrounding them from Korean netizens.
I am moderately excited for their coming after the overdose of estrogen this summer, who doesn’t like fresh male blood? Their group name could have been something more creative though. Companies seem to be carrying the SMS trend too far with these numerics and acronyms. I don’t completely object to the name B2ST, but when I see it, I think “second best” more than anything.

Aww don’t be so cruel, it’s cool to see that those other guys get another chance to shine 🙂 plus all of their fans who were sad to see them leave will be happy that they are back. Can’t wait for the debut !! ^-^
O__________O i won’t expect much. shinee and 2pm have enough trouble competiting even with 1 Big Bang member. notcie how none of the groups are on a comeback while gd is on stage.
i’m not saying they suck or nor am i bashing them. it’s just i’ve felt like i’ve experienced the best and what’s there to change?
i can always change my mind though. 😉 i could be wrong, but unless their debut blows me away, i am deadset ignoring another possible suju/big bang/2pm clone group.

first, the unoriginal acronyms name.
2nd, the many castouts in the group. (not that giving up is a good thing.)
3rd, trying to takeaway 2pm’s limelight and getting their 15 minutes of fame claiming thet can beat 2pm in being beasts.
i can tell i’m not gonna like them already.
but i’ll look out for Yong Jun Hyung, he seemed okay.

I was very sad when So-1 is dropped out from Bigbang. Now I’m really happy that he finally got a chance to debut. He’s not so excellent but he’s good singer and dancer in my opinion. I hope people will support them because they’ve never given up and been training so hard with tireless effort so please don’t say cruel things to them, okay? Just wait and see how they’re going to make their dream come true.
Ah, one more thing, I think there’s no problem with the meaning of the group name. B2ST (Boys to search the top), it’s definitely suit them. Some of them were rejected from previous bands and if you see how much pains that So-1 had to suffer you will understand. If we were them, there’s high possibility that we gave up the music industry but they never gave up and continue to try hard to make their dream – to be the top singers – come true. I really admire their guts and I hope they will reach the top of showbiz. So, what’s wrong with their group name?
Can we not compare them with other bands and think that they are trying to “steal the spot light”!!??
Its mostly on there talents!! and i mean who does not copy whom!!
Even if they seem original they did copy abit or got there inspiration from some other artist from Korea or from some where else right? its more of them learning from other artist and making it different making it for them.
Dont judge them just because they were once in entertainment and were rejected!

every artist try to be No.1 and if they get there it’s because they are awesome!!

I LOVE SO-1 LOL!! cause TOP LOVES HIM TOO.. top cried when SO-1 leave.. so i support them cause i know top will support them too.. and their reaching their dreams.. its not BAD.. aight look. As much as im enticipating their debut, i gotta keep it real. Aight, they’re pretty much leftovers from other entertainment companies, but they are talented, no lie. But i dont think it was smart of them to come up and be like “We gon be the new beasts idols”. ’cause for 1, 2PM are the originators, they are just naturally beast-like. But ya’ll didnt even debuted yet and already claiming a title. Child first give us a taste of ya’ll (promo pics, teaser vid, snippets) and then WE, the public gon see if ya’ll really diserve the title. Plus, look we already got one beast idol, we dont need 2. So if ya’ll want to be at the same level then 2PM ya’ll need to come with something different. Hopefully ya’ll gon be pimpin, do ya’ll OWN thang. and eh, who knows if ya’ll come up with somethin poppin ya’ll can maybe be the Swagger idols or something like that loll. So yea, do ya thang! 😉

i think they deserve a chance…. and praise the company that giving them the second chance.thus, they must have treat them even harder than the first company they got in to. like changmin(dbsk) said before, being number two means continuously try their best to be number one.

I love B2ST. It’s the only Korean band I am in love with.
Even though I’m Korean and typical Korean people obsess over Big Bang and 2PM and etc, I love B2ST. If you watch their documentary, you’ll find out that the members are total sweethearts and dorks, not the cool vibe their mv’s give off.
i know!!!!, even in the interviews they’re totally natural, and just be themselves…they’re humble and talented….i dunno why people are comparing this group to other groups…they have their own style, i love other groups as well, but i dont make harsh comments boutt others…
and if you see now, they are successful all right…hard work paid off
ive listen to their songs and i think its awsome! de beat r catchy as well as their voices are great as well.

After 2 years, they are not only labeled as one of the top 10 kpop artists chosen to perform in NYC, but they also are rarely compared to other groups. And 2pm….Yeah, grew more popular than them (</3 JAY)
